To support the move toward a sustainable future, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) is launching new initiatives to make the switch to electric more affordable than ever.
Starting from 1 January 2026, your business can benefit from two major schemes designed to narrow the cost gap between electric and diesel heavy vehicles.
Get Paid to Go Green with HVZES Under the Heavy Vehicle Zero Emissions Scheme (HVZES)
Owners who register a zero-tailpipe emissions heavy goods vehicle or bus (MLW > 3,500kg) will receive a $40,000 incentive.
Automatic Disbursement: The incentive is paid over three years.
• Tranche 1: $13,000 upon registration.
• Tranche 2: $13,000 on the first anniversary.
• Tranche 3: $14,000 on the second anniversary.
Power Up with the EHVCG Charger Grant! Don't let infrastructure costs hold you back.
The Electric Heavy Vehicle Charger Grant (EHVCG) co-funds 50% of upfront installation costs.
• Massive Savings: Capped at $30,000 per charger.
• What’s Covered? The charging system, licensed electrical worker (LEW) fees, and cabling/installation works.
• High Performance: Supports chargers with a power rating of at least 50kW installed at your place of business.
